The horse stands 18cm/7" high (without styropor base). All together it's made of 46 parts of fabric over a wire armature, mane and tail are silk fibers. It turned out a bit fat and short-legged, so I think its a pony.
It was meant to be just a prototype, so I didn't think about the white marks. If I ever make another one, I'll make them asymmetrical to make it look more natural.

It is super cute! Isn't that poseable? Since it has a wire armature inside =)

It is somewhat poseable, but it looks completely unnatural if you bend it too much. It's easy to make poseable animals with long fur, but animals with short or without fur can be very difficult since you can see all the creases on the fabric. So I rather see them as sculptures and design the pattern to have the pose I want.

I like the symmetrical white marks- reminds me of my favorite riding pony at the zoo- his name was Romeo- lol and he looked like that, except w/out the blaze. :)

almost everything is perfect about this, the only thing I will say is give it eyelids :3 they make a world of difference as the eye/face are the soul of a peice, if somethings slightly off with them then its the first thing for people to notice. That aside I cant make plushies to save my life lol :3 you have done a wonderful job :D

You are absolutely right, I'm not happy at all with the eyes. I wanted them to have a darker color, but I wasn't able to get 3mm eyes in dark brown or transparent to paint them myself.
Hoping that someday I would find better eyes (maybe even with equine pupils) I didn't gave it eyelids. I would have to glue them on and then it would be difficult so change the eyes.

That's a big problem of mine, I'm never really sure if/when a piece is finished.

I've been meaning to make a horse for a long time, and yours looks very horse-like! Great job.
